Hi there! My name is Robert Fitt.
While everything that you will find here was done purely for my own edification and enjoyment, I was urged by friends and family to share my art, music and creative writing with those of you who may find them interesting. I’m not sure that it’s worth a lot; but if you should find that any of them uplift your spirits, tickle your funnybone, or give you greater insight into the things that are meaningful—even sacred—to me, Then lean back and share my enjoyment.
For 83 years now God has allowed me to explore His world through the arts; and so you will find here a collage of original sculpture, paintings, pen and ink drawings, prose, poetry, music, humor, literature, and spiritual and philosophical meanderings that I have created over the years. If you find an area that interests you I invite you to explore it at your leisure.
My Philosophy concerning the arts:
The arts are at the heart of living and the soul of learning. Their discipline tames us; their aesthetics civilize us; and their tradition ties us to our cultural roots -- giving meaning and stability to our lives. Exposure to the arts unshackles our feelings, liberates our senses, and opens our hearts and minds to the majesty of the universe.
